International bundt cake franchise Nothing Bundt Cakes is expanding — planning to begin serving its full-size bundt cakes and “bundtlets” for all occasions at a new outpost in Spring Branch.
According to a pending license application, the chain will open at 305 Singing Oaks, landing near eateries such as Ay Chiwawa! Mexican Cafe, IHOP, and Taco Bell.
What Now San Antonio reached out to franchisee Kim Tucker to inquire about the expansion, but she could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the filing offers some insight.
The job is described as a “1st generation tenant finish-out for a take-out cake store,” and construction is slated to begin on May 1, finishing by August 15. Costing an estimated $340,000, Richardson, Texas-based firm Landry Architect will carry out the project.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the franchise, Nothing Bundt Cakes was founded in 1997 and describes itself as “offering a modern spin on a classic treat.” Since then, the business has opened over 500 bakery locations in more than 40 states and Canada.
Cake flavors include blueberry bliss, white chocolate raspberry, and strawberries & cream — and, for the celiacs, a gluten-free chocolate chip option.
