Paris Baguette is embarking on bringing another pastry shop to the Alamo City. According to a recently filed permit, the new San Antonio Paris Baguette is expected to open in the Stone Oak Mercantile at 20135 Stone Oak Parkway, Suite 102.

The permit details that construction on the new Stone Oak Paris Baguette starts at the beginning of July and is slated to wrap up at the beginning of October this year. Construction on the 3,750 square-foot new Paris Baguette includes transforming an existing cold shell into a cafe with sales, dining, and kitchen areas for a whooping $750,000.

Jiwon Choi is listed as the tenant of the new Paris Baguette. Choi recently opened another location in the city. What Now San Antonio reached out to Choi for details on the Stone Oak opening, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.

Paris Baguette serves up a variety of fresh cakes, sweets, pastries, breads, sandwiches, and much more. The blossoming bakery chain also serves a variety of cold and hot beverages to help wash down its delicious treats and eats.

Paris Baguette first entered the US market in 2005 after opening the brand’s first overseas store in Shanghai, China. The origins of the booming cakes and sweets shops began with the 1988 launch of the bakery cafe franchise brand in South Korea by the Paris Croissant company. Since its inception, Paris Baguette has become a global franchise with thousands of locations.

“Treating you as our neighbor means treating you to the very best. It’s why we pour our heart into everything we do. It’s why pastries to use aren’t just a product, they’re our passion,” the website reads.

While originally focused on a Korean-inspired European bakery culture, the chain has adapted to new markets.

Now continuing to enlarge its footprint in San Antonio, Paris Baguette is anticipated to open its next location in the region in the Stone Oak Mercantile at 20135 Stone Oak Parkway, Suite 102, by this fall.
