According to a recently submitted permit application, Pizza Hut is expanding its San Antonio footprint, gearing up to debut a new outpost at 5502 Walzem Road — near establishments such as H-E-B, Long John Silver’s, and Raising Cane’s.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the operator behind the upcoming outpost, Emerge! Inc., to inquire about their plans for the spot, but they could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, a recent construction permit application provides further insight.

Described as the “tenant build-out of an existing empty tenant space to a new pizza hut restaurant (delivery dine-in and carry-out only)” the scope of the project includes adding a new kitchen, storage room, and restroom. Construction is scheduled to begin on March 19 and finish on July 18 and cost an estimated $500,000 to complete.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
