UTSA is broadening its on-campus dining options, planning to welcome new tenant Pizza Hut Express later this year.

“Pizza Hut is joining us at the Business Building RowdyMart! Get ready to indulge in cheesy, saucy goodness,” the UTSA Dining Services page shares in a recent Facebook post.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Lee Myers, the Director of Campus Services Facilities and Partner Management, but he was unable to provide additional information before the time of publication.

Nevertheless, a recent construction permit application provides further insight.

Described as the renovation of an existing grill at UTSA’s Business Building, improvements include the “removal of existing food service equipment, signage, and millwork,” as well as the “provision of new millwork, finishes, branding, and food service equipment.” According to the filing, renovations to the existing 400-square-foot space began on May 31 and are scheduled to be completed on August 31.

But that’s not all that UTSA students and faculty have to look forward to.

The post continues, “Prepare your palates for mouthwatering flavors at Prime Grill, coming to the Student Union Food Court” — bringing along “a lineup of burgers, chicken tenders, and fries.”

Alongside existing on-campus dining options such as Chick-fil-A, Subway, and Starbucks, both Pizza Hut Express and Prime Grill are slated to begin dishing out meals sometime this fall.
