Via 313, an awarded pizzeria chain known for serving up Detroit-style pies, is planning to open a new outpost in San Antonio.
According to a recent construction permit application, Via 313 will build a restaurant from the ground up at 17315 W HI-10, just a hop from the Dominion, near establishments such as Tardif’s American Brasserie, Texas Roadhouse, and Wingstop.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the chain, the pizzeria offers a brief introduction on its website: “Via 313 Pizza proudly serves genuine Detroit-style square pizza out of several brick-and-mortar locations and two customized pizza trailers. We make all of the traditional Detroit-style pizza topping combinations as well as feature gluten and dairy-free options.”
What Now San Antonio reached out to Co-Founder Zane Hunt to inquire about the upcoming outpost, but he could not provide further information before publication.
Nevertheless, the filing offers additional insight.
According to the submission, construction of the 3,500-square-foot space is slated to begin on September 25 and be completed on March 23, 2024. For an estimated $750,000, the project will be executed by Allen-based firm PM Design Group.
Dubbed “Independent Pizzeria of the Year” by Pizza Today™ and recognized as one of the “Top 10 Pizzas in America” by Food Network, Via 313 is sure to become a popular dining destination.
An opening date has not yet been announced, so follow Via 313 on Facebook and Instagram for additional updates.
