Pour Choices Brewing Company is set to open in Fredericksburg in 2026. According to a recent state filing, the brewery will open at 1505 South Creek Street.

The permit shows that construction on the new Pour Choices Brewing Company, set to open in Fredericksburg, will start in November and wrap in April 2026. If all goes well, Pour Choices Brewing Company should open in the Spring of 2026.

Rick LaPlante and Tony Wickham are the great minds behind the beer operation. Meeting and then starting it up in Wyoming, the dynamic duo began crafting beers that would come to be trademarks of the brand.

While construction is expected to wrap in April, LaPlante shared that Pour Choices Brewing Company will likely not open until June of 2026.

LaPlante was a software engineer before turning to the beer business with his wife, Judith. Wickham is an award-winning brewer with years of experience brewing up beer across the UK and the United States, the San Antonio Current reports.

In a conversation with What Now San Antonio, LaPlante shared his goals for the new Fredericksburg brew house.

“I made really good beer in Wyoming, and my goal is to make better beer in Fredericksburg,” he said.

He and Wickham have cooked up a few different types of beers, but one that continues to stand out is the “Community Cheer.”

Pour Choices Brewing Company will offer everything from an IPA to a Hefeweizen, and even a scotch ale that Wickham cooked up and LaPlante dubbed “A wee bit of regret.”

“We want to offer beers you can’t find around town. We are really focusing on making sure we have a broad range of beers, both regular and seasonal,” LaPlante said.

Wickham even created a French Belgian beer that won an award.

And you can try it all when Pour Choices Brewing Company opens its doors at 1505 South Creek Street in June of next year. You too, will even get a chance to help the brewery give back through the Poor Choices Community Program, another reason to stop by and visit this new brewery when it opens.
