Ro-Ho Pork & Bread has been bringing the taste of Guadalajara to the Greater San Antonio area since 2015. The eatery planned to open a second location in 2023, according to this permit, which also shared that construction was slated to start at the beginning of 2022.
Well, plans around the opening are still in the works, according to a recent MYSA report. The new location is planned to open at 618 Fair Avenue. But, unfortunately, the site has dealt with some vandalism, setting the project back.
What Now San Antonio reached out to chef and owner Jorge Rojo, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
On all accounts, it appears that the new Ro-Ho Pork & Bread that’s planned to open on Fair Avenue could start dishing out its delicious tortas and more by 2026. But, as to when the official opening date, month, or season is, well, that’s up in the air.
What is confirmed is that Ro-Ho lovers can expect the same menu at the second location set to come to the Greater San Antonio area.
“At Ro-Ho everything is made from scratch, watching every detail, and keeping a small menu to offer the best quality possible,” the website reads.
“We want to make your meal here a unique culinary experience, transporting you to Mexico with every bite.”
While the eatery is known for its magnificent torta ahogada that comes with your choice of filling, drenched in tomato salsa, cabbage, pickled onion, radish, and lime, Ro-Ho Pork & Bread also serves a variety of tacos, nachos, and salads.
The hope is that the eatery is back on track to get the second location open. Ro-Ho Pork & Bread is slated to open at 618 Fair Avenue sometime this year.
