Rusty Bucket BBQ is planning to open a new location in San Antonio, according to a recently submitted permit construction application.
Coming to the Highland Hills neighborhood, the eatery intends to construct a 1,149-square-foot restaurant building at 2567 Goliad Street, near establishments such as Reggie’s Tex-Mex Cafe, Shangrila, and Taqueria Guadalajara.
If the menu remains consistent with its flagship spot at 600 Cupples Road, patrons can expect to find pulled pork, grilled chicken, chicken sausage, prime brisket, ribs, and turkey by the pound, sides — such as mac-n-cheese, potato salad, pinto beans, coleslaw, creamy corn, and spicy green beans — sandwiches and loaded baked potatoes, as well as cobbler and ice cream for dessert.
What Now San Antonio contacted the eatery’s owner, Reynaldo Villarreal, to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the filing offers further insight.
Construction is slated to begin on October 1 and be completed in June 2014. For an estimated $300,000, the project will be carried out by a local firm, Advent Building Design.
An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
How old is this article? “ slated to begin on October 1 and be completed in June 2014.” that was ten years ago. Do they mean completed in June 2024?
