The fast-casual chain Salad and Go plans to introduce a new location in San Antonio, according to a recently submitted permit application.

Coming to 12342 W US Hwy 90, the outpost will land near establishments such as Auto Sales El Guero LLC, Qualy Motors, and Reems Auto.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, Salad and Go is known for bringing “salads and more to the drive-thru with blazing fast, friendly service and a fresh crunch of whole-food goodness.” On the menu are salads, wraps, and soups — as well as breakfast items like burritos and bowls served with house-made salsa.

With more than 80 locations nationwide, and further expansion planned for 2024, Salad and Go is quickly becoming a major player in the fast-food industry — “shaking things up by making meals that are not only convenient and affordable but good for [its] guests and the local communities.”

According to the filing, the company will develop a new, 1,000-square-foot building, with construction slated to begin in October and finish in February 2025. Fort Worth-based firm Rogue Architects will carry out the project for an estimated $600,000.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
