The five locations of a popular drive-thru margarita and to-go cocktails chain are permanently shut down. In a recent social media post, Roc-N-Ritas confirmed its exit from the Hill Country. The sudden shutdown disappointed regular customers and left a noticeable gap in the Hill Country’s local beverage scene.

Roc-N-Ritas Announces Closure of Five Locations

Roc-N-Ritas has already closed all of its Hill Country outlets. The presence of the local brand in the area after six years has ended. In a social media post, the company thanked its customers for their support over the years.

The company has not publicly declared the reason behind the shutdown. The post read, “This was not an easy choice. Roc-N-Ritas has always been more than just drinks to go — it has been about community, friendships, celebrations, and the amazing people who supported our small family-owned business from day one. “

The chain began in New Braunfels in 2020. It established a following with its drive-thru business model of selling chilled margaritas, daiquiris, and other cocktails to-go. The idea spreads in the pandemic time when alcohol-to-go laws expanded throughout Texas.

Besides the typical margarita tastes, Roc-N-Ritas has provided specialty beverages, seasonal products, and novelty selections like boozy gummies and THC-infused beverages.

About the Closed Locations

Here are all five locations of Roc-N-Ritas, which are now permanently closed:

  • 112 E. San Antonio Ave., Boerne, TX 78006
  • 5726 Babcock Rd., San Antonio, TX 78240
  • 823 Lockhill Selma Rd., San Antonio, TX 78213
  • 2864 Thousand Oaks Dr #101, San Antonio, TX 78232

The exit of Roc-N-Ritas is the end of a locally-grown idea. The company carved out a niche in the Hill Country’s beverage scene. There has been a significant demand for to-go alcohol, leading to the popularity of its drive-thru cocktail model. The closure shows the ongoing changes in the local scene of hospitality and nightlife businesses in the San Antonio region.
