San Antonio’s ceviche-focused food truck concept El Cevichero plans to open its first brick-and-mortar location, El Cevichero Restaurant y Cantina.

Owner Abel Mota Jr. announced his plans for the business on Instagram earlier this week, sharing, “From delivering Ceviche out of my personal truck when the city was shut down in 2020, to getting three food trucks, [we’re] now opening up our first brick and mortar in 2023… See you soon Brooks City Base.”

Coming to 2603 SE Military Drive — an address formerly home to Luna Rosa Puerto Rican Grill y Tapas — the eatery will land near establishments such as Black Bear Diner, Pho Garden Vietnamese & Chinese Cuisine, and Texas Roadhouse.

Mota continues, “I’ve always said Cevichero will be successful because of the team we have created with my family. We all bring something to the table, and this would not be possible without them.”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow El Cevichero on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
