According to a recently submitted permit application, national coffee chain PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans plans to expand its San Antonio footprint.
Coming to 16918 Bulverde Road, Suite 201, the shop will land near establishments such as Maple Street Biscuit Company, Marble Slab Creamery, and True Texas BBQ.
The filing discloses that interior improvements to the 1,800-square-foot space are scheduled to begin on March 18 and be completed by June 17. For an estimated $200,000, the project will be carried out by Akron, Ohio-based firm L+P Architecture.
For readers who are unfamiliar with PJ’s Coffee, the business was founded in New Orleans in 1978 and is known for its gourmet coffee that is “small batch roasted in 300lbs or less by Roastmaster Felton Jones, who alone has over 25 years of experience with PJ’s Coffee,” according to the business’s website.
What Now San Antonio reached out to franchisee Alexis Pellegrin of Brew Crew LLC to inquire about the expansion, but she could not provide additional information before publication.
An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
