According to a recent Facebook post, the historic Texas Star Inn — located at 7400 Bandera Road in San Antonio, near Dunkin’, House of Flavor Mexican Grill, and Party Barn — now has new owners, Jami and Troy Lott.

“The property was just acquired on January 5th, 2024,” they share, adding, “We plan to bring the historic building and property back to its original glory days.”

For readers who are unfamiliar with the venue, Troy provides an introduction: “The music venue was established in 1946 as a beer joint and motorcyclists’ hangout. In the 1990s and into the 2000s, the former Texas Star operated as a popular barbecue restaurant known as Grady’s.”

Detailed plans and an anticipated opening date haven’t been provided by the couple yet, so stay tuned for updates.

  • Had the pleasure of dining here with my wife. The Mushrooms and Catfish were excellent.
The new atmosphere is great. Friday and Saturday they have live entertainment. Recommend this for a relaxing evening.
