The Filipino favorite has officially shut down operations at 10234 State Hwy 151 Suite 102 as of December 23, though the concept won’t be closed forever. Customers can anticipate Sari Sari Supper Club may make a comeback in 2024 with a new location, though the owners have not yet signed a new lease. Another possibility is the restaurant will reopen at the same site after some time off, as Google and Yelp both report the current location as “temporarily closed.”
Owners Adrian and Camille De Los Reyes announced in an Instagram post their heartfelt gratitude and deep sadness in making the difficult decision to close doors. They ended the caption on an uplifting note, stating “Stay tuned for what’s next because this isn’t the last you’ll be seeing of us,” hinting at a return in the near future. The owners will likely be eyeing San Antonio-area locations over the next few months to secure a lease for Sari Sari’s next home, though an exact reopening timeline has not been confirmed.
As a pandemic-era small business, Sari Sari first opened in 2021 as an extension of the owners’ popular bakery and market of the same name, which is still in operation and is expanding in 2024 with a restaurant, market, and bakery at the upcoming Pearl area shipping container development, SA Yacht Club, as previously reported by What Now San Antonio.
Sari Sari Supper Club specialized in serving authentic Filipino-American fusion cuisine with a modern twist, featuring dishes like lumpia, pork belly nigiri, red snapper escabeche, chicken adobo, and ube swirl french toast for brunch.
Though it may be some time before customers can enjoy the menu they loved at Sari Sari Supper Club in a new iteration, guests can partake in the brand’s other sister concepts, Sari Sari and Jeepney Street Eats, in the meantime. A representative from Sari Sari was not immediately available for additional comment.
