With crawfish season underway in San Antonio, Chef Jason Dady will launch CrawDady, a new crawfish pop-up at The Rock at La Cantera. The seasonal, weekend-only concept will open at Frost Plaza on February 21 at 1 PM. The restaurant will offer Southern-inspired sides with flavor-packed crawfish boils.
CrawDady Reflects Chef Dady’s Bold Flavor Profile
CrawDady’s menu will feature freshly cooked and seasoned crawfish with a flavorful profile. The dishes will showcase Chef Jason Dady’s staple approach to cooking in a creative and playful manner. The menu offers Wet Cajun, made with butter, Frank’s Red Hot, and a secret spice mix; and Dry Cajun, the company’s signature dry spice blend.
More offers include Viet-Cajun, a flavor explosion of ginger, lemongrass, and Italian Garlic Herb, which is an aromatic and savory option. Some of the sides include classic Boudin Sausage, Boudin Balls served with grain mustard remoulade, and Chicken and Sausage Gumbo served over bay leaf rice.
Another side dish, Jalapeño-White Cheddar Hushpuppies, is also served with fresh lime and Kewpie mayo. Guests can mix and match the dishes and enjoy live music and games.
CrawDady to Open With a Full-Day Celebration
CrawDady will open at The Rock on February 21, with free parking and free entry. The venue will host food, drinks, live music, and game day. The event will start at 1 PM, and CrawDady will open along with music from Aaron Montano-Teague.
This will be followed by a Spurs vs. Kings watch party at 7 PM. It will also feature many Jason Dady concepts like Ice Ice Dady, Roca & Martillo, and Lil’ Bros BBQ Shack.
Following the opening day, CrawDady will serve crawfish from every Friday to Sunday through the spring. The regular pop-up will also include Spurs watch parties, seasonal events, and live music.
Timings
The CrawDady kiosk will operate from 11 AM to 10 PM on Fridays, 11 AM to 11 PM on Saturdays, and 11 AM to 8 PM on Sundays.
As crawfish season unfolds, the pop-up is set to become a weekend go-to for locals looking to enjoy flavorful boils and entertainment.
