According to Express News, St. Anthony Hotel’s seafood and steak restaurant Rebelle has “closed until further notice.”

The news comes in the form of a note posted to the restaurant’s door that reads, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Rebelle has closed until further notice… Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to serving you soon.”

What Now San Antonio spoke briefly with Michael Newbrand, the Senior Vice President of Operations at Crescent Hotels & Resorts, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Rebelle’s closure follows the departure of the restaurant’s founder Andrew Goodman and the firing of Chef Stefan Bowers, the Journal reports.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the St. Anthony Hotel, the inn is located at 300 E Travis Street, near establishments such as The Bunker Mixology, Travis Park Plaza, and Travis Park United Methodist Church.

Stay tuned for updates.
