Utah-based Swig Drinks is rapidly expanding its footprint across the country, with its newest location coming to 1808 N State Hwy 78; suite 100 in the Wylie Neighborhood Shops development. As noted in recently filed construction permits, building onsite begins in July 2024 and will complete renovations worth $550,000. Although an exact grand opening timeline is forthcoming, the location could serve customers as early as next fall.

Known for its inventive take on the trendy “dirty soda”, Swig combines soft drinks like Dr. Pepper and Coca-Cola with half and half, creamer, lime juice, and other flavored syrups to create a satiating sweet treat. The business was created in 2010 by founder Nicole Tanner as primarily a drive-thru business with minimal food options to focus on its soda offerings, creating a concept not previously popularized.

Its menu ranges from customizable sodas, energy drinks, flavored sparkling water, boba, cookies, and pretzel bites.

Swig started franchising the company this February, and has since signed on for 250 franchise units bringing the business to seven new markets: Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas, Idaho, and Missouri, according to an article from QSR.

With help from franchisee Lexi Venuti, Swig’s first Wylie location will join the recently announced New Braunfels location at 1280 I 35 Frontage Road #100, as previously reported by What Now San Antonio. Stay tuned for additional updates on Swig’s website and Instagram as the Wylie location of Swig progresses.
