According to a recently submitted permit application, SWIG, a Utah-based drive-thru chain known for its flavorful sodas, plans to open a new outpost in San Antonio.
Coming to 3639 E Evans Road, the shop will soon neighbor establishments such as 46th Street Pizzeria, CVS, and Panfila Cantina.
What Now San Antonio reached out to SWIG to inquire about the expansion, but representatives could not offer additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the filing provides further insight.
Described as a “new ground-up SWIG Drinks with drive-thru,” construction of the 700-square-foot facility began on February 5 and should be completed by the end of May. For an estimated $800,000, the work is being undertaken by Naperville, Illinois-based firm Core States Group.
For readers unfamiliar with the franchise, SWIG specializes in customizable sodas, offering more than 100 potential drink combinations. Flavors include blackberry, coconut, and peach, to name just a few.
