According to Express News, the food hall Make Ready Market — located at 203 8th Street, just a few steps from the River Walk — is adding a new tenant to its lineup of dining offerings, Teka Molino.
Taking over a space formerly occupied by Pescado Bravo, the business will land alongside eateries such as Garage Cantina, Idle Beer Hall & Brewing, and Mila Coffee.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Teka Molino, the restaurant offers a brief introduction on its website: “We are a family-owned restaurant with a strong tie to our community. We treasure our patrons and after 85 years, we are lucky to call so many Teka family.”
“Making quality Tex-Mex food that connects family and friends with great food and good memories is what we love to do,” the statement continues. “Puffy tacos and bean cups are made from scratch and are Teka fan faves! They’re so delicious Netflix featured them on Taco Chronicles Season 2.”
The concept’s co-owner, Ben Stratton, tells What Now San Antonio, “We’re super excited to join Make Ready Market… and to have a location Downtown again. The original location was right where 131 runs through the St. Mary’s area.”
“We’re going to be able to prepare most of our menu… we may have to reduce it just slightly. We’re excited to have all of our specialty items — our cups, chalupas, puffy tacos — as well as margaritas, beer, and tequila products,” he continues.
Teka Molino at Make Ready Market is slated to open on June 4th. Stay tuned for updates.
