According to a recently submitted permit application, Chef David Gilbert is planning to debut a new Thai Bird location in San Antonio.

Coming to 6401 Broadway, Suite 1 in Alamo Heights, the restaurant will land near establishments such as Alamo Barber & Beauty Supply, Honchos – The House of Churros, and Sole Sneaker Boutique.

“Aiming for a grand opening in fall 2024, the second Thai Bird location will also feature an assortment of wines, perfect for pairing with the restaurant’s signature Thai chicken tenders and wings,” MySA shares.

The report continues, “Every single item on the Thai Bird menu is gluten-free. In addition to the award-winning chicken wings and tenders, Thai Bird also has an assortment of Thai-centric sides, from red curry corn, chili-lime fries, ginger-kale slaw, and more.”

What Now San Antonio reached out to Gilbert to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before the time of publication.

Thai Bird on Broadway is slated to open in the fall of 2024. Follow the eatery on Facebook for additional updates.
