The Growler Exchange, a San Antonio-based craft brewery, is opening a second location at 914 E Elmira St. this spring. The new location will have nearly double the seating capacity of the last, and allow the restaurant to access SA’s thriving midtown submarket.

“We strive to be the best purveyor of craft beer in San Antonio,” says
Joseph O’Hare, the owner. “We want to make sure we have the best beers on tap.”

More space means more room for events, according to O’Hare. He says he hopes the space will be able to host corporate gatherings and celebrate more special occasions.

In addition to the expanded space, the new location in Midtown Station will also look into expanding the brewery’s food menu offerings.

The family-owned business will be celebrating its seventh anniversary this March.

“We’re excited open a new location in Midtown Station,” O’Hare says. “We’re excited to meet our new neighbors, and collaborate, and cross-pollinate.”
