The San Antonio-based coffee chain Brevity Coffee is building a new outpost from the ground up at 1019 S.W. Military Drive — just East of South Park Mall. Some existing eateries in the vicinity include El Pollo Loco, Peter Piper Pizza, and Pizza Hut.

Fred Corpening, Brevity Coffee’s co-owner, tells What Now San Antonio that the upcoming spot on Military will be a franchise location operated by Andrew and Sarah Tygart — previous employees of the company.

According to a recently filed permit application, before constructing the 312-square-foot coffee shop, an existing house will need to be demolished — a job that in total will cost an estimated $430,000. Construction will be carried out by KNRG Architects and is scheduled to begin on March 15th, reaching completion on August 1st.

Brevity Coffee on Military Drive will be up and running before the end of the year.
