San Antonio’s NBA team The Spurs is planning to debut a “dining and lounge venue” in its upcoming training facility, Victory Capital Performance Center, at The Rock at La Cantera.

“This is going to be the first of its kind in the NBA,” Chief Revenue Officer at Spurs Sports & Entertainment Frank Miceli, tells the San Antonio Business Journal — adding, “This is going to be a place where members can gather, they can entertain, they can unwind in a truly premium atmosphere.”

Upon opening in early 2024, The Spurs Club — “A first-of-its-kind private social club and restaurant,” according to its website — will be available to those with either individual or corporate memberships and offer “an array of amenities including multiple bars, fine dining, lounge and personal workspace all with private elevator access and exclusive views of the Spurs practice courts.”

The San Antonio chef behind concepts such as Cured, Landrace, and Lüke, Steve McHugh, has been invited to head the kitchen — and his wife, Sylvia McHugh, is also purportedly joining the crew, tasked with developing the cocktail program.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the COO at Spurs Sports & Entertainment, Brandon Gayle, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
