According to a recent Facebook post, major renovations are planned for the Whataburger outpost at Bandera and Huebner in Leon Valley.

The post reads, “As the City of Leon Valley continues to grow, Whataburger is rebuilding the restaurant to offer more space for visitors and enhanced features for faster service.”

“The new restaurant will include a double drive-thru, digital menu boards, and an updated design. Whataburger’s goal is to continually improve the overall Guest experience, and this rebuild will do just that,” it continues.

An exact opening date hasn’t yet been announced, but Whataburger does share that it expects to reopen in January 2024.

While the 7016 Bandera Road spot is closed, Leon Valley residents can visit nearby Whataburger locations at 12034 Culebra Road and 3202 Wurzbach Road in San Antonio.
