Tia’s Taco Hut, a local Mexican restaurant chain, is planning to debut a new outpost in San Antonio, according to a recently submitted permit application.

Coming to Suite 100 at 12834 Potranco Road, the eatery will land near establishments such as Church’s Texas Chicken, Black Rock Coffee Bar, and Salad and Go.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Co-owner Benny Castillo to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing states that the finish-out of the 2,120-square-foot space is slated to begin on May 1 and finish on July 1. For an estimated $85,000, local firm B&C Construction will carry out the project.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Tia’s, the Tex-Mex eatery boasts 10 locations across San Antonio and is known for its breakfast plates — ranging from huevos rancheros and migas to pancakes and French toast.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Tia’s Taco Hut on Facebook for updates.
