Tim Horton’s continues to expand throughout the country, and now the brand is set to make its Alamo City debut. According to a recently filed permit, the Tim Horton’s San Antonio debut will happen in the Redland Plaza at 2919 N. LOOP 1604 E.
Construction on the new Redland Plaza Tim Horton’s is scheduled to start this April and wrap up by the end of June 2026.
The franchisee group behind the opening is CO3 Companies. What Now San Antonio spoke with CO3 Companies’ VP of Franchise Development, Eduardo Castilleja, about the upcoming opening. Castilleja confirmed that the first Tim Horton’s to come to the San Antonio region would be open by the summer of this year.
Tim Horton’s was founded in Canada in 1964 by Canadian ice hockey player Tim Horton and Jim Charade. Tim Hortons has grown from a single coffee-and-donut shop into Canada’s largest quick-service restaurant chain. After Tim Horton died in 1974, business partner Ron Joyce expanded the franchise significantly. It is now part of Restaurant Brands International.
Kyle Corman is the senior manager of Real Estate for Tim Hortons US at Restaurant Brands International. What Now San Antonio briefly spoke with Corman, but was referred to the media team for additional details.
“More than a coffee and bake shop, Tim Hortons is part of the fabric of Canada and a proud symbol of our country and its values,” the Tim Horton’s website reads.
The pride of Canada offers more than just its beloved coffee and pastries. Besides a variety of coffee flavors, donuts, and bagels, Tim Horton’s also sells sandwiches, breakfast and lunch dishes, and a host of sides to go along with your meal.
Tim Horton’s is set to debut in San Antonio in the Redlands Plaza at 2919 N. LOOP 1604 E. by this summer.
