Tiny’s Milk & Cookies is embarking on an Alamo City debut. The Houston-based bakery is set to open at 5307 Broadway, according to the San Antonio Business Journal. With construction slated to start in a few months, Tiny’s Milk & Cookies is expected to open by this fall.

Baron Doke is the chef and owner of the brand. What Now San Antonio reached out to Doke, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.

Doke opened the popular walk-up bakery in the former JMH Store building in West University nearly a decade ago. The brand expanded to Austin in 2019 and has continued to blossom since. There are now five Tiny’s Milk & Cookies locations throughout Texas.

“Since its scribbled origins on a napkin in Houston, the hope for M&C has always been to offer a comfortable neighborhood nook that remains a ritual for our regulars, and a sunny spot for anyone who delights in fresh air (and fresh cookies),” the Tiny’s Milk & Cookies website reads.

Known for its premium chocolate chip cookies and homemade ice cream, Tiny’s Milk & Cookies grew from a chocolate chip cookie recipe for Doke’s other Houston-based eateries, Tiny Boxwoods. Now, those delicious chocolate chip cookies may very well be the bedrock of the soon-to-come to Alamo City cookie shop.

Besides the chocolate chip cookies, Tiny’s Milk & Cookies offers a variety of cookies, like the Lemon Crinkle Cookie, pastries, sandwiches, breads, donuts, and sweets. The ice cream comes in a cup or a homemade waffle cone, which you can get in a tiny scoop, single scoop, double scoop, or pint. The flavors range between everything from the sweet and fruity, like the mango passionfruit sorbet, to the creamy and crunchy, like the vanilla caramel crunch.

Tiny’s Milk & Cookies is anticipated to make its big San Antonio debut in the Alamo Heights at 5307 Broadway by the fall.
