Tycoon Flats, a San Antonio-based eatery known for its “specialty burgers, cold draft beers, and handcrafted margaritas,” is opening its second joint.

According to signage posted at the address, the concept is taking over a space at 1017 Austin Highway that was previously home to Cerroni’s Purple Garlic — near restaurants such as Los Reyes, Pizza Hut, and Tong’s Thai Restaurant.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Richard Hartman, a managing general partner, but was unable to gather additional information before the time of publication.

Nevertheless, the existing Tycoon Flats restaurant at 2926 N St Mary’s Street may provide some insight into what can be expected.

Found in a “historic 100-year-old gas station,” the St Mary’s Street outpost offers beer, cocktails, and American food in a relaxed atmosphere. The menu boasts hand-battered appetizers, hot wings, nachos, specialty burgers, sandwiches, hotdogs, tacos, and salads — to be enjoyed indoors or outside in its “huge, plant-covered beer garden.”

Tycoon Flats on Austin Highway is slated to open sometime this summer. In the meantime, follow the eatery on Facebook and Instagram.
