Filipino restaurant, market & bakery Sari-Sari will have a spot at the upcoming Pearl area shipping container development, SA Yacht Club, underway at 310 W Grayson, according to MySA.
Alongside tenants such as Bexar Goods, Naco Mexican Eatery, and Sippy’s Beer and Wine, the SA Yacht Club Instagram page shares that the eatery is slated to open sometime this fall.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the restaurant, Sari-Sari — meaning “variety” in Tagalog — opened in San Antonio in 1995 as a small oriental market specializing in Filipino products, expanding to become San Antonio’s first Filipino restaurant, Oriental Cuisine, in 1998.
Today, the eatery offers a bakery with “fresh Filipino delicacies, desserts, and pastries,” as stated on the Sari-Sari website, in addition to its traditional Filipino dishes.
Catherine Lorenzo, Chief Operating Officer at Sari Sari Filipino Restaurant, Market, & Bakery, confirmed the news with What Now San Antonio on September 3, but was unable to provide additional information before publication.
An exact opening date has not yet been announced, so follow Sari Sari on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
