Wapo Taco — a Modern Taqueria that serves “authentic, delicious, and affordable” Mexican food — is planning to open at 7418 Northwest Loop 410, Suite 101W, near establishments Smokey Mo’s BBQ and Texas Boot Ranch.

According to a recent construction permit application, Wapo Taco plans to begin an interior finish-out of the 4,085 square foot space on April 25, with renovation slated for completion by June 26. DS3 Building Designers will be the architectural firm executing the job, and, in total, the project is estimated to cost $500,000.

The upcoming outpost on Northwest Loop will mark Wapo Taco’s second San Antonio location. Its flagship restaurant has been up and running since 2018 at 7907 West Loop 1604 North, Suite 101.

On the menu, patrons can expect to find “Mexico’s Mexican food,” meaning tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and a wide selection of traditional and non-traditional plates — think enchiladas, chicken flautas, chile relleno, and birriadillas — as well as aguas frescas to wash it all down.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned to Wapo Taco’s Facebook and Instagram for additional updates.
