According to a recently filed construction permit application, Wendy’s at 5121 North West Loop — near Cavender’s Boot City, Party City, and PetSmart — is planning an interior renovation this spring.

The eatery’s refresh is estimated to cost about $300,000 and includes plans to replace the existing pre-fabricated fascia — the board that runs along the lower edge of the roof — and interior finishes.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Sanjay Mehra, the CEO at We Spark Restaurants, but was unable to speak to him before the time of publication.

How the restaurant and drive-thru hours and operation will be affected hasn’t yet been made clear, but the article will be updated as soon as details have been announced. However, we do know that the job should be completed before June, according to the application.

We Spark Restaurants, the business behind this outpost, is also the owner and operator of 33 additional Wendy’s outposts in San Antonio, 36 Wendy’s in Dayton, and eight Buffalo Wild Wings outposts throughout Texas.
