According to a recently submitted permit application, Haraz Coffee — a coffee house chain “on a mission to share the rich heritage of Yemeni coffee with the world” — is planning to debut a new location in San Antonio.
Coming to 8435 Wurzbach Road, the cafe will land near establishments such as P. Terry’s Burger Stand, Torchy’s Tacos, and Via 313 Pizza.
Hamzah Nasser, Founder & CEO of Haraz Coffee, tells What Now San Antonio, “We would like to emphasize our deep commitment to supporting the dedicated farmers in the Haraz mountain region of Yemen, the very birthplace of Arabica coffee, who harvest what we believe to be the finest coffee beans in the world. Our vision extends beyond simply being a coffee shop; we aspire to bring the complete Haraz and Yemeni hospitality experience to every community across America.”
Additionally, public records reveal that the build-out of the 1,770-square-foot space is slated to begin on July 1 and finish on September 15. Illinois-based firm Purohit Architects Inc. will manage the project.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the chain, the business offers a brief introduction on its website: “In 2021, Hamzah Nasser set out on a mission to bring a unique coffee experience to life by opening the first Haraz Coffee House in Dearborn, Michigan.”
“Since its humble beginnings, Haraz Coffee House has grown to 20 locations across metro Detroit and other cities with 142 in the pipeline, becoming a symbol of authenticity and excellence in the coffee industry,” the statement continues.
An opening date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
