As San Antonio experiences a population boom, retail development is accelerating across the city. Multiple shopping center projects are being announced in recent days, including a new $3.6 million project at the intersection of Talley Road and Wiseman Boulevard. The project is expected to add new retail and dining options to the area.

Highlights

  • A $3.6 million shopping center is to start construction at the intersection of Talley Road and Wiseman Boulevard.
  • Roughly 18,000 square feet, the project is expected to be completed by Spring 2026.
  • Several restaurants are to take over space in the shopping center, including Fatburger and Roundtable Pizza.

Shopping Center to Change San Antonio Area

The sprawling Westside area of San Antonio is soon to see the start of another multimillion-dollar retail project. The Texas-based real estate firm, Brinbaum Property Company, will lead construction of the project. Spread across roughly 18,000 square feet, the shopping complex is to open up at 2807 Talley Road, which is not far from the Bennie Cole Middle School.

Project Timeline and Other Details

The plaza construction is expected to start next month across the roughly 18,000 square-foot area. The completion of the project is expected to take place by Spring 2026, according to the Brinbaum Property Company. Several restaurants, including Fatburger and Roundtable Pizza, are expected to lease space in the new shopping complex.

Located outside the San Antonio city limits, the property is not far from Potranco Road. It is said to be just a drive away from another massive shopping center in the Alamo Ranch area. Meanwhile, the retail company taking over the project says that the shopping center is ideal for c-stores, restaurants, auto service, storage, and a daycare center.

Impact on Locals

As the city continues to grow in population and new areas open up for housing and other facilities, residents are also seeing various retail projects coming up. Business owners and developers are keen to begin these projects, but they are expected to benefit local residents, too. They will soon be able to access more options for various purchases that do not require a long drive. More employment opportunities also open up with such developments, making the lives of local residents easier.
