Inspectors conducted a routine check at Kujo Eats. As per the inspection findings, proper hot and cold holding temperatures of food were not maintained at the facility. This could result in microbial growth and a health hazard.
Inspectors noted that food items were not cooled from 135°F to 41°F or below within six hours, as required. As the sewage and wastewater were not disposed of at the restaurant properly, overflows or back-ups of sewage into the food facility prep areas resulted in the contamination of food contact surfaces.
Inspectors reported an infestation of insects and rodents inside the restaurant. The restaurant was instructed to seal openings and prevent vermin entry. Other issues included improper equipment storage and broken tiles that collected dust.
Officials closed the restaurant due to the health hazards found. It is expected to address all the violations before a re-inspection takes place to resume normal operations.
