Paris Bakery in San Diego serves Vietnamese sandwiches to locals with their freshly baked bread. It is a go-to place for people because of the diversity in variety. A routine health inspection was conducted at this outlet, which revealed food safety violations.

It is mandatory for every restaurant and eatery to comply with the food code. Minor, major, and out-of-compliance violations led to the closure of this facility.

Violations Observed During Inspection

The inspecting officer noticed multiple violations at the outlet during the inspection. An obstructed and inaccessible handwashing sink posed a hindrance to adequate handwashing facilities. The officer instructed the restaurant to provide adequate facilities.

Improper hot and cold holding temperatures and vermin infestation were major violations observed. The inspection revealed insect and rodent infestation in the facility. Foods that can be potentially hazardous were not stored in proper temperature conditions.

Employees were educated by the officer on expected temperature conditions. Also, they were instructed not to handle or care for pets during working hours. Entry of live animals within the facility should be appropriately prevented.

Cleanliness of nonfood contact surfaces and ware washing facilities was out of compliance. The use and storage of equipment did not meet the applicable standards, as per the observations of the inspecting officer. Floors and walls of the facility need repairs at certain places, along with vermin-proofing.

The Health Department did not provide any score or grade to the outlet as it failed the inspection. The bakery is now required to work on violations and eliminate them. A reinspection will then be conducted. Currently, the reinspection schedule is not declared. Passing through that will allow the bakery to reopen.
