Food Safety Violations That Led to Closure

The health inspection at the Chandelier Lounge Cuisine revealed various violations. It was found that the handwashing sink at the facility was inaccessible and obstructed. The facility did not have an expected supply of warm water. The officer noticed a lack of warm water at the handwashing sink and the prep sink.

The inspector observed insects and rodent droppings within the facility. The presence of insects and rodent droppings constituted a vermin infestation, which poses a significant risk of cross-contamination.

The restaurant offers a daily buffet, but the self-service setup was not compliant. Unpackaged food offered for self-service must be protected from contamination.

The inspector saw plastic shopping bags being used to hold raw chicken. The inspection found broken floor tiles, a damaged wall behind the sink in the food prep area, and dried food debris.
