Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month is underway. To celebrate the AANHPI culture, flavors, and cuisine, the MSG Hospitality Group is going to host the AANHPI Eats Week for the very first time in San Diego. A culinary collaboration is taking place in San Diego from May 10-18, 2025, where chefs from participating restaurants will showcase their talent. From Japanese, Chinese, and Taiwanese dishes to island-inspired Hawaiian cuisine will be served to the diners. Participating Restaurants: A Diverse Menu Selection
As AANHPI Eats Week is about honoring a community through its food, 7 participating restaurants in San Diego have released their menus and prices. Traditional as well as modern cuisines inspired by the AANHPI culture are included in these menus.
Glass Box
Co-owner of MSG Hospitality, Ethan Yang, is also the executive chef and owner of Glass Box, which has released its three-course menu for AANHPI Eats Week at just $50. This Asian Coastal-inspired kitchen and bar is located at the Del Mar Highlands Town Center in San Diego. Diners can choose one dish from each course. Any extra additions are already mentioned in the menu.
Marufuku Ramen
Marafuku Ramen is another famous ramen restaurant located at the Sky Deck of the Del Mar Highlands Town Center. It is famous for its Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen. For the AANHPI Eats Week, Marafuku Ramen will offer the choice of one premium ramen, appetizer, dessert, and drink at just $40.
Zen Modern Asian Bistro
Zen Modern Asian Bistro is known for serving some of the best Asian fusion wok-fried dishes. For AANHPI Eats Week, the bistro offers a $35 menu featuring one appetizer, a noodle-based main course, and a dessert. Explore all the options here.
Kalei’s Kitchenette
Kalei’s Kitchenette is a Hawaiian restaurant located in Plaza Rancho Penasquitos. It will also participate in the AANHPI Eats Week from May 13 – 17, 2025. Their Lau Lau Plate will be served at $22 with two sides.
Kingfisher
Kingfisher is a Vietnamese restaurant with a flair of French influence. A special Chef’s Tasting Menu has been released by the restaurant with four courses to be served during the AANHPI Eats Week. The food at Kingfisher is priced $120, and an additional $65 will allow wine pairing as well.
Lia’s Lumpia
Lia’s Lumpia, a Filipino restaurant in San Diego, has received accolades such as the 2024 Best Filipino Restaurant and 2023 Best Filipino Food awards. Their AANHPI Eats Week menu is available for $50 per person.
Nozomi
Nozomi Sushi is a Japanese restaurant in San Diego located in Regents Marketplace. Throughout the AANHPI Eats Week, this restaurant will serve a special three-course menu at $35. People can choose one dish in each course.
