- Major violation of active vermin infestation within the facility.
- Unclean non-food contact surfaces.
- Wet wiping cloths were lying in the prep area and not in a sanitizing solution.
- Out of compliance condition of the floor, walls, and ceiling.

Steamy Piggy serves a variety of food to satisfy every type of craving, from hot and cold to sweet and savory. This Chinese restaurant has fusion dishes as well, inspired by Asian, Korean, and Japanese cuisine. On July 31, a health inspection was conducted at this restaurant in San Diego. The following are the issues observed during inspection:
- Inspectors noted improper temperature control for food items.
- Food contact surfaces had grease and debris accumulated.
- Insects and rodents were observed.
- Personal cleanliness and hygiene were not maintained by the staff.
- Food items were not stored separately and protected from cross-contamination.
- Toxic chemicals were stored in the food storage area.
- The facility lacked adequate facilities for washing utensils and equipment.
Inspectors ordered temporary closures at both establishments following the cited violations. Now, both restaurants will proceed to address the violations, and a re-inspection will check the compliance status. It is mandatory for all the food establishments to follow the food safety guidelines.
