San Diego’s Little Italy has welcomed the new Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Little Italy. The property brings a modern, comfort-forward stay to one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

Now, its hospitality is welcoming a new chapter with the opening of Courtyard by Marriott. The hotel pairs coastal ease with contemporary sophistication, giving travelers a relaxing home base in the neighborhood.

Located at 1646 Front St., the hotel offers walkable access to Little Italy’s dining, cultural landmarks, and waterfront attractions. Meanwhile, its design is inspired by the city’s sea, sand, and sky. This adds a touch of charm, mixing elegance and ease to the property.

Sophisticated and Soulful Rooms and Amenities

The hotel features 334 rooms with some of Little Italy’s largest guest suites. Guests can choose from six room types, including four signature suites that emphasize style and space. These are the Fibonacci Suite, the Corner Suite, the Basilone Suite, and the Midway Suite.

The Fibonacci Suite offers 700 sq. ft. across two levels, connected by a spiral staircase. It includes a loft bedroom and a living area. The Corner Suite spans across 780 sq. ft. and comes with a large workspace and a sectional sofa.

The Basilone Suite spans 800 sq. ft. and features two Juliet balconies, a dining area, a prep space, and a freestanding tub. The Midway Suite offers two Juliet balconies, a living area, and a freestanding tub in an 820 sq. ft. space.

The hotel’s amenities offer guests relaxation and wellness. The Skydeck pool with plush lounger seating offers a place to unwind. Guests can enjoy the sweeping views of San Diego Bay from the sunset terrace. The fireplace here makes this the perfect place to enjoy a golden-hour gathering.

The Peloton bikes and floor-to-ceiling windows at the fitness center offer an energetic workout experience. The hotel offers more than 10,000 square feet of flexible event space across six venues, including The India Street Room, The Amici Ballroom, and The Cardini Boardroom.
