San Diego’s first urban craft distillery, 619 Spirits, is preparing to open a new flagship location in North Park at 2875 El Cajon Boulevard.
The new 8,000-square-foot space will replace the original location, combining distillery operations with a full-service restaurant, cocktail bar, retail store, and private event areas, according to an investor update. Located on El Cajon Boulevard in the heart of North Park, the expansion will triple production capacity and offer seating for more than 200 guests. Construction will include a state-of-the-art distillation system, an outdoor patio, and an upgraded kitchen, with an opening expected after the buildout is completed. The space is designed to be a landmark destination for both locals and tourists.
619 Spirits, currently located at 3015 Lincoln Avenue, is led by Nick Apostolopoulos, who founded the company in 2015 to bring small-batch, locally crafted spirits to the San Diego area. The brand is best known for its award-winning 619 Vodka, which earned the top spot in USA Today’s “Best Craft Vodka Distillery” in 2019 and has remained in the top 10 ever since. Infusions feature unique flavors such as rose petal, pickle, and coffee, all crafted using only natural ingredients. The business has earned more than $1 million in annual revenue and maintains a loyal local following, with consistent five-star ratings across major platforms.
The company is currently raising capital through a community investment note to support the buildout. Investors receive a projected 1.8x return (2.0x for early backers) over a five-year term. Proceeds will fund construction, equipment, packaging, and the expansion of distribution infrastructure. The team also plans to grow its Ready-to-Drink cocktail line and increase direct-to-consumer sales. This expansion marks a significant milestone in the brand’s eight-year history, reflecting growing consumer demand for premium local spirits.
Once open, the new 619 Spirits North Park location will serve as a hub for craft cocktails, spirit tastings, pairing dinners, and community events. The company plans to continue its tradition of only using craft spirits from Southern California in its beverage program, reinforcing its local-first identity.
