Acapela Modern Mexican Restaurant will open their first San Diego area location. The LA spot for tacos, carne asada fries, and loaded California burritos is moving into La Mesa’s Baltimore Plaza.
Owners Cesar and Jessica De Santiago have been serving the San Diego community for years as owners of Tacos El Paisa. They launched Acapela a year and a half ago and their plans for expansion are finally coming to fruition.
Cesar De Santiago tells What Now San Diego says they’ve expanded the menu for the San Diego outpost of Acapela, which will now include combination plates. They’ll also introduce some innovative new taco options.
We can expect more locations in the near future as De Santiago negotiates franchising partnerships across Southern California. They’re eyeing the coastal communities from LAX South through Orange County to San Diego.
