Angry Pete’s Pizza shared via social media that they’ll be joining the Santee community soon. The former pizza pop-up will replace Tin Fish at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve, which closed operations as of Sunday, November 6th.

Owner Pete Harbison explains in the social media post that he had previously applied for use of the restaurant space at Santee Lakes but the timing wasn’t right. “Now that I have the experience of opening 4 new locations, I’m ready for it!” writes Harbison.

Angry Pete’s Pizza got their start frequenting local breweries and farmers markets. They now serve their signature Detroit-style pizza from Desi’s Bar in Point Loma, JP’s Pub in Tierrasanta, and from Little Miss Brewing in Poway and Lakeside.

Beyond gourmet square-shaped pizza, their menu includes Smashburgers, Coney Dogs, nachos, wings, and brick sticks aka mozzarella sticks. Angry Pete’s intends to expand their menu with breakfast options for the Santee location, complete with a spacious deck overlooking the water.

Angry Pete’s Pizza is promised soon in Santee, an opening date has yet to be announced. Stay tuned for updates by following Angry Pete’s Pizza on Instagram
