Beach City Smoothies, a popular spot for healthy smoothies and acai bowls in Carlsbad, is preparing to open a new location in Oceanside at 212 N Coast Hwy.

The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of Alohana Acai Bowls, which recently announced its impending closure, according to a post from Eating Oceanside’s Instagram. The announcement mentions this closure will occur on May 31, 2025, after being told their lease will not be renewed. While the announcement is upsetting, it says the company is opening new locations in East Oceanside, Camp Pendleton, and Riverside County. Beach City Smoothies owner Rob Green tells What Now San Diego that this new location is expected to open mid-to-late June 2025. Rob says he and co-owner Angela Green are excited to join the community.

Beach City Smoothies offers 100% pure fruit smoothies made from fully ripened vine, tree fruits, and fruit juices, with no added sugar or dairy. Each 24-oz smoothie contains the equivalent of six servings of fruit. The menu includes organic, freshly juiced-to-order juices, with optional organic wheatgrass or ginger shots. The shop is known for its locally popular Acai bowls, made with a berry-cocoa Acai blend, and its Pitaya smoothies and bowls, featuring vibrant magenta dragon fruit.

“At Beach City Smoothies, we keep it real with top-notch, healthy foods,” according to the company’s website. “We look after & take care of our awesome customers & community, and we always keep those good vibes rollin’. For nearly two decades, Beach City Smoothies has been a welcoming haven for Carlsbad – and now Oceanside! We are a place where friends and families can come together and create lasting memories. If Beach City Smoothies can serve as a source of happiness for them, then we know we are fulfilling our purpose. We want to continue to be an integral part of the community, and now in Oceanside, and hope to expand our presence throughout North County.”
