After promising “exciting things” were coming in 2021 via social media, it appears that Java Earth Coffee is ready to add another location in town.
In a permit filed with the city, food services were approved for the company at an address located in La Jolla.
The new 620 square foot facility for the breakfast and coffee shop will be located at 1030 Torrey Pines Rd, in Suite D, according to the permit.
Located in the La Jolla Country Market, Java Earth appears to be taking over space previously occupied by Bowls N Brews. Across the street from several retail locations and next to Mediterranean restaurant Marketplace Grill and Japanese restaurant Himitsu, Java Earth Coffee will look to complement the other businesses and shoppers in the community with a fresh cup of Joe.
With its other location at 4978 Cass St, Java Earth Coffee celebrated its 10th summer recently as the business appears ready to spread to other parts of the city.
Owner Abe and Deborah Artenstein could not be reached for comment.
The two opened Java Earth Cafe when another cafe on Cass Street came up for sale in 2010 and love the relaxed, friendly and unique culture of North PB, according to the PBMonthly.
