Blacktop Restaurant Group, headed by Owners Craig Applegate and Clayton Wheeler, haven’t been slowed one bit despite the pandemic. The restaurant company has successfully built the Board and Brew franchise throughout Southern California since 2014. Plus they’ve added new concepts, Casero Taqueria and Pure Taco in Carlsbad.
The group is currently busy with plans to turn two new communities on to the Board and Brew following. Plans have been established for a new location to open this year in Poway Plaza, at Community and Poway Road. What Now San Diego also became aware of permits filed for another location opening at UTC Mall, confirmed by the Board and Brew Website. Ownership could not immediately respond to What Now for Opening updates.
Known for their Secret Sauce, the brand boasts a surfer atmosphere and casual ambiance. Their keep-it-real vibe translates to their ingredients and high-quality standards with sandwiches like the Turkado. With ten currently open locations and three on their way, San Diegans are sure to be close enough to catch a Board and Brew sighting.
