The team from Buona Forchetta have their eye on another space in South Park. According to a recent permit filing, the purveyors of fine Italian cuisine will take over the former Moose Lodge on 30th Street just steps from their various sister businesses.

The Moose Lodge has stood unused since a fire on-site in 2010, and was sold by the organization in 2018. South Park is largely Buona Forchetta territory, with their original restaurant, a small italian market and eatery called Enoteca, and a non-profit restaurant and cafe called Matteo.

Beyond South Park, Buona Forchetta locations have popped up in North County with stops in Encinitas and San Marcos plus a gelato and pizzeria shop in North Park.

Their “Coming Soon” list on their website is pretty extensive, including a Buona Forchetta coming to San Clemente, Caffe Buona Forchetta, and new concept named Carbon which is rumored to be a BBQ spot.

The restaurant group offers Catering and event packages, including a visit by their stylish mobile pizza oven. Taking over the Moose Lodge building could elevate their potential to serve even more private events and offer additional space outside of their busy restaurants.

Additional updates on the Moose Lodge space are not currently available. If you’ve missed out on any the various offerings by Buona Forchetta, visit their Website for a full list of open places to indulge in authentic Italian foods.
