Caffeine & Green will make its way to North Park, opening their first coffee shop on El Cajon Boulevard next to Pariah Brewing and the Brewery Igniter site.
Owner Cano Cardenas tells What Now San Diego the original plan was to open a mobile coffee truck. After a successful Kickstarter campaign last year, he ran into difficulties acquiring a truck and decided to look for the ideal brick-and-mortar location to hold the Caffeine & Green brand.
Cardenas has been a coffee roaster for over six years, and has worked with various brands like Seven Seas Coffee to set up their locations in South Park and Orange County. He also runs the MMA promotion company, Epic Fighting.
The Caffeine & Green brand includes various elements alongside their coffee. Their online shop sells their signature roasts, branded apparel, plus Cardenas hosts a podcast of the same name which highlights local business owners and experts in a range of industries from coffee to skateboarding and MMA fighting.
The new coffee shop will of course spotlight Caffeine & Green’s roast blends, serve specialty coffee drinks, and to start will likely partner with Spro N’Dough for vegan donuts.
