According to recent permits and posts on social media, Captain Sam’s Fish and Chicken is rapidly expanding this year.

The restaurant is having a grand opening for its third location today in Spring Valley at 10761 Jamacha Blvd. The brand also has announced plans to open a fourth location this summer, located at 8830 Troy St. An official grand opening date for this location is not yet known.

Captain Sam’s Fish and Chicken, owned by Saamiar Samie, has been a San Diego local establishment since 2018. It’s most well-known for offering affordable specials and deals, including a lunch combo from Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., for an entrée, a side of fries, and a drink at the price of $7 according to its online menu.

For its grand opening at its third location, the store is offering a buy one get one free deal on six of its dishes. It’s likely that the fourth location will get a similar grand opening special once the summertime rolls around.

Some of the popular dishes on the menu at Captain Sam’s include East Coast-style fried catfish, jumbo shrimp, chicken wings, and banana pudding.

What Now San Diego reached out to Samie for comment, but did not immediately hear a response. Stay up to date with the opening process of the fourth Captain Sam’s Fish and Chicken on its Instagram and Facebook.
