Carlsbad French Pastry Cafe, a delicious pastry shop currently located in the Village Plaza shopping mall, is getting ready to expand to 6021 Innovation Way, Suite 130, within Carlsbad.
The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of Krave Asian Fusion Restaurant, sharing a building with Honma Gold U.S. and Eureka!, according to a recent liquor license application. Owner Olivier Baudier tells What Now San Diego that the company hopes to open this location by January 2025, offering delicious French pastries and various custom orders. This is a massive accomplishment for Carlsbad French Pastry Cafe, considering the company has been around since 1998.
Baudier came to the United States after graduating from professional restaurant school and eventually met a fellow Frenchman who would become his pastry chef, according to the company’s website. Soon, the two opened Carlsbad French Pastry Cafè in 1998, offering fresh bread, pastries, breakfasts, and lunches made in-house daily. In the nearly 25 years the business has been open, Baudier has created a welcoming space where customers are encouraged to grab a coffee and a fresh almond croissant and enjoy the music and laid-back atmosphere. The next location is expected to have the same delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service.
This will be an excellent spot for the company’s newest location, considering it’s right next to the McClellan-Palomar Airport. On top of being close to an airport, it’s even closer to a handful of other businesses, including Sky Zone Trampoline Park, Holiday Inn Carlsbad, and a few martial arts studios. Carlsbad French Pastry Cafe will become an excellent place for travelers or active individuals to visit during some downtime. The new location will also be near the Bressi Ranch Village Center, making it one of the few places in the area to get delicious French pastries.
