A year in the making, Cheese Garden is finally making their debut in San Diego. While a local permit filing popped up in November of 2021, Eater recently reported the Japanese-inspired bakery will join The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch this Fall.
Cheese Garden currently operates dessert cafes solely in the Toronto, Ontario area. This will be the first foray into the United States for the brand.
Rooted in Japanese cake culture, lucky San Diegans can look forward to Cheese Garden’s light and fluffy monogrammed cheesecakes and signature double fromage cheesecakes. Their double fromage cheesecakes come in various flavors like Matcha and Chocolate, layered with frozen cheesecake atop baked cheesecake over sponge cake.
Their menu also includes a Baked Cheese Tart, seasonal flavors, Tiramisu cups, Yaki Pudding Cheesecake, and a beverage menu of refreshing teas, Matcha beverages, and coffee drinks.
Cheese Garden is expected to join the Carmel Valley area later this Fall. Reports say another location has been secured in National City, to open in early 2023. Get to know Cheese Garden by following their Facebook page.
